Arrest History in Glades County
An arrest creates more than one Glades County record. The officer's report states the event and asserted probable cause. Jail staff create a booking entry after intake. Fingerprints can create or update an FDLE arrest cycle. A first-appearance record addresses probable cause, counsel, and release, while a later clerk file tracks the prosecution.
The Glades County Sheriff's Office is the chief local patrol and jail agency. Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, FDLE, tribal authorities, or federal agencies may also make an arrest. No separate Moore Haven police department or city jail was verified. Confirm the agency listed in the booking row before requesting a report.
Glades SmartWEB Booking Log
The official Glades Sheriff's SmartWEB Jail View is the fastest source for a current or recent county booking. It searches by name and booking or release date ranges, requires at least one criterion, and offers a Booked Last 24 Hours shortcut. It is a custody tool, not a conviction list.
The official interface shown below frames the search controls, not an identifiable arrestee.

Results can show status, booking number, MNI number, booking time, age at booking, visitation status, bond, and charge rows. Details can change after a first appearance or later court order.
| Field | Type | Required | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last / First Name | Text | No | Name candidate search |
| Booking Date Range | Date | No | Recent intake window |
| Release Date Range | Date | No | Released booking window |
| Search For / Sorted By | Dropdown | No | Options must be checked live |
How to Look Up Glades County Arrests
A complete lookup moves from the jail row to the agency report, court case, and state record when needed. It does not stop at a photograph or charge label.
- Search SmartWEB by surname, booking dates, or the recent-booking view.
- Confirm booking time, status, arresting agency, and booking number. Use more than a similar name to establish identity.
- Expand the charge rows and save the court case number when one appears.
- Search the Glades Clerk docket for filed charges and final outcomes.
- Request the incident report from the creating agency, or use FDLE Personal Review for one's own statewide record.
Glades County Sheriff's Office
Use the official sheriff domain and ask for the records custodian. Verify the current address and hours before travel.
Request the existing incident report or booking sheet and identify the agency case or booking number, date, location, and desired releasable supplements.
Florida Chapter 119 gives access to nonexempt existing records. It does not require an agency to create an explanation for why someone was arrested.
When FHP or FWC Arrests
A SmartWEB booking can name an agency other than GCSO. For a Florida Highway Patrol arrest, use the FLHSMV or FHP public-records channel for the incident or crash-related record. For a boating, wildlife, or conservation arrest, request the report from the FWC public-records custodian. FDLE investigations route to FDLE, and federal or tribal records remain with the creating sovereign agency.
The booking row remains useful because it ties custody to an agency, arrest number, charges, and sometimes a Glades County court number. It does not transfer ownership of another agency's narrative to the sheriff.
| Arresting agency | Glades role | Report route |
|---|---|---|
| GCSO | Patrol, warrants, jail | Sheriff records custodian |
| FHP | Highways and traffic | FLHSMV/FHP records |
| FWC | Wildlife and boating | FWC records custodian |
| FDLE | State investigations | FDLE public records |
What an Arrest Record Shows
Glades arrest records describe the enforcement and custody event. Public copies can redact victim, juvenile, medical, or protected identity data.
| Agency identifiers | Agency case number, arrest number, arresting agency, and officer where releasable. |
|---|---|
| Event details | Arrest date, time, place, and asserted warrant or probable-cause basis. |
| Subject data | Name and identifying details used to associate the record, subject to redaction. |
| Alleged offenses | Booking charge text, statute, degree or level, and arresting-agency reference. |
| Custody | Booking number and time, status, photograph, bond, hold, and release information. |
| Report content | Narrative, evidence, property, and releasable supplements held by the arresting agency. |
A booking number identifies the intake event. SmartWEB's MNI number is an agency master-name identifier. A court case number bridges the booking to the clerk. None should be called an FDLE SID unless an actual state record labels it that way.
Glades Booking Numbers and Bonds
SmartWEB may show total bond, cash-only amounts, per-charge bond, bond type, and fees. “No bond” is a snapshot of the data and controlling order then available. First appearance or a later judge's order may change release terms, so confirm with the jail or clerk before travel or payment.
- Booking number
- The identifier for one jail intake event.
- MNI number
- The sheriff system's master-name identity number.
- Arrest number
- An agency identifier linked to an enforcement event.
- Court case number
- The identifier used to find the filed prosecution and disposition.
Multiple charge rows may include both agency-style references and court-numbered entries. That does not prove duplicate convictions or even duplicate filed counts.
Recent Arrests and Booking Logs
Use SmartWEB's Booked Last 24 Hours view for a recent Glades County intake, or enter a booking-date range when the event is older. Search results may load in stages. A missing result can mean the date or spelling is wrong, intake is not yet posted, the person was booked elsewhere, or an older record must be requested.
SmartWEB is strongest for current and recent county custody. After a transfer to state prison or supervision, use Florida Department of Corrections Offender Search. Federal custody is separate.
The federal locator shown below answers only the federal custody question.

A released booking says nothing by itself about final disposition. Continue to the Glades Clerk when a prosecution was filed.
Glades Arrest-to-FDLE Fingerprint Chain
After a qualifying arrest and fingerprint submission, FDLE's Computerized Criminal History can receive an arrest cycle. Later court dispositions should be linked to that cycle. Florida public history is broader than a conviction-only list because it can include a dismissal, withhold, acquittal, or guilty disposition.
For an error in one's own record, FDLE Personal Review is the strongest official route. It is free, fingerprint-based, limited to the individual or designated attorney, and supports an accuracy challenge.

The review can expose a missing disposition or wrong association. Obtain a certified Glades disposition before challenging incorrect court-result data.
A public FDLE name check serves a different role. It uses demographic details and costs $24 plus a $1 card-processing charge for instant, noncertified results. A name match is not fingerprint identification, so first name, middle name, date of birth, race, and sex must be compared with care. Staff-conducted certified and noncertified searches are also available through FDLE. Neither product supplies the full Glades incident narrative or court packet. Those remain with the arresting agency and clerk.
Arrests vs Convictions
An arrest records an allegation and custody event. A conviction is a court outcome. Prosecutor review can narrow, change, or decline the booking charges before an information is filed.
| Point | Arrest record | Conviction record |
|---|---|---|
| Created by | Arresting agency and jail | Criminal court |
| Main proof | Report and booking entry | Judgment or charge disposition |
| Charge stage | Preliminary allegation | Final adjudicated result |
| Best Glades source | GCSO/creating agency and SmartWEB | Glades Clerk certified file |
The Glades County criminal court cases record resolves what the State Attorney filed and how each count ended.
Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt, and a booking image is not a conviction record.
State Attorney Charge Review
The State Attorney for Florida's Twentieth Judicial Circuit reviews cases referred by law enforcement. The filed information controls the felony charges that reach court, not the first SmartWEB wording. The office source below helps distinguish prosecutorial review from booking custody.

If SmartWEB shows an agency charge and a later court-numbered charge, compare the information, docket, and charge-by-charge outcome. A declined or dismissed allegation can remain in Florida criminal history unless lawful sealing or expunction applies.
Florida sealing and expunction are not automatic after dismissal. The eligible person first seeks an FDLE Certificate of Eligibility, then petitions the proper court. The judge retains discretion, and the record stays public until a signed order is entered and implemented by the affected agencies. Prior adjudications, prior relief, and excluded offenses can bar relief. Keep the arrest report, certified disposition, certificate, and final order because access may become harder after relief takes effect.
